In August
we built a wind turbine from scratch. Starting with wood from a forest we carved 3 blades.
We took 2 steel disks, 24 strong magnets, 3kg of enameld wire and 2.5kg of resin and built an alternator.
To the thud of drum and bass, the howl of the angle grinders, the blinding glare of the welders and showers of sparks every ware we shaped the metal and made the mounting.
We found an old scaff-bar and some steel wire from an old aerial rope way. There was the tower.
A dove for the tail. and batteries at its feet the machine was born. Transformed from the earth to serve nature she was called..
